Energy Museum Istanbul TUR, Turkey, Istanbul, santralistanbul is a project led by Ÿƒstanbul Bilgi University, involving the conversion of the first power station built in Ÿƒstanbul during the Ottoman period ’Äì Silahtaraga Power Plant ’Äì into a Museum of Contemporary Arts, a Museum of Energy and a cultural and educational centre. Silahtaraga Power Plant is situated at the heart of the Golden Horn, one of Ÿƒstanbul’Äôs oldest industrial quarters, and was established in 1911, functioning until 1983. The power plant is a unique industrial heritage site and one of the best preserved in Ÿƒstanbul. Energy museum  138AB20080712D0035
